The Set Drilling Reciprocating motion for drilling procedures in CATIA V5 has been refined. All the necessary steps and limits for a moving drill bit in an interior wall are calculated and set up in the CATIA V5 environment. A special feature will ensure the drill head is automatically stopped in the right position.
Installation
Users of other Cadsoft products such as DeskAble may install CADbeam v5, CATIA v5 and DeskAble products side-by-side on the same machine with no conflicts.

In CATIA V5, CADbeam is automatically installed when the CATIA V5 client software is installed.
1. Start CATIA V5.
2. Go to the CADbeam Options.
3. Select the CATIA V5 option.
4. On the Application page, select the CATIA V5 Software option.
5. The CATIA V5 Software Setup window appears. The CATIA V5 options are listed in the order in which they should be set up. Select the "Next" button.

Additional information
To simplify the CATIA V5 installation, you should configure CATIA v5, CADbeam v5 and DeskAble on the same machine. When CADbeam V5 or DeskAble is installed, a menu appears that allows you to access and install the options of CADbeam v5.
If you are using CATIA v5, or DeskAble, the default settings will work fine. If you are using CATIA v5 and you are planning to use CADbeam v5, CADbeam v5 should be the first CATIA V5 software installed.
To install CADbeam V5 on a Macintosh machine with a Mac OS X 10.6 operating system, first install the Macintosh Operating System. Then, launch the X Server. Click on System Preferences and then on the Security Tab, then on the "Allow applications downloaded from:" field and select the "Mac OS X Server".
If you want to install CADbeam V5 on a computer with Windows XP or Windows Vista, you need to:
1. Install XP or Vista.
2. Run as administrator (XP: Right click on the file and select Properties then run as administrator)
